The ultimate all-rounder.

The extraordinary all-new BMW 3 Series Gran Tourismo is an entirely new concept in vehicles – a car that does everything well. Imagine how much extra enjoyment a new BMW 3 Series Gran Tourismo could add to your life – packed with skis and snowboards in winter, surfboards and camping gear in summer, and the kids and the family dog anytime. If ever there was a car made for New Zealand families this is it.

Now let’s take a closer look at the BMW 3 Series Gran Tourismo. The exterior lines and proportions are unmistakably BMW. The beautifully sculpted profile incorporates large areas of glass in frameless doors giving excellent all-round visibility to driver and passengers. The sweeping outline also contributes to the car’s outstanding aerodynamic efficiency, which is enhanced by special features including a flat underbody panel, the BMW Air Curtain on the front spoiler, the BMW Air Breather in the front wheel arches, and an active rear spoiler concealed in the rear deck.

The BMW 3 Series Gran Tourismo features the M Sport Package as standard, with 19” wheels and an athletically styled front air dam and side skirts. Bi-Xenon headlights are standard. Naturally the car’s performance befits its appearance. The BMW TwinPower turbocharged petrol engine delivers 135kw, and with its 8-speed auto transmission produces an excellent overall fuel economy of just 6.6 l/100km.

True to its grand touring role the interior of the BMW 3 Series Gran Tourismo is spacious and supremely comfortable for all occupants on long journeys. All seats benefit from the elevated command driving position, which is 60mm higher than the BMW 3 Series sedan. Driving in dense traffic is more relaxing and the view is better for the passengers. Rear seat room is substantially increased too, with an extra 75mm in the footwells and more headroom, giving it the space of a larger car.

The 3 Series Gran Tourismo also features exceptional luggage capacity of 520 litres with the reclinable rear seats upright. The rear seats have a 40/20/20 split, which enables awkwardly shaped objects like skis and surfboards to be carried easily. With all rear seats folded flat the carrying capacity is 1600 litres, easily big enough to swallow a large item of furniture. Nevada leather upholstery is standard with three colour options. There are four trim options including the stylish Aluminium Hexagon as standard. Other exciting options include an automatic opening tailgate and six classic BMW metallic exterior colours.

The all-new BMW 3 Series Gran Tourismo truly is the ultimate all-rounder, equally at home in town or country, making it ideal for the active New Zealand lifestyle. For more information, please contact your BMW Dealer. Or for more information please register here for updates.
