According to the recent FN50 survey of lease and contract hire companies in the UK, the world’s favourite luxury car, the BMW 3 Series is the most reliable car on sale. It was joined in a list of the top ten most reliable cars of 2013 by the BMW 5 Series and BMW 1 Series. The FN50 evaluation is exceptionally rigorous, as the surveyed vehicles are subjected to higher than average mileage and are routinely driven in all weather conditions. This means top rankings in the FN50 are a true testament to the reliability of BMW vehicles. What makes this result even more impressive is the number of cars included in the survey – 585,000 cars, spread over many different company fleets.
The most cynical car buyers of all – used car dealers agree. The BMW 3 Series won the award for Used Car of the Year at the UK’s Car Dealer Awards in 2013.
The story was the same in ‘What Car?’ magazine, the private car buyers bible. The BMW claimed the title of Best Executive and Luxury Used Car at the ‘What Car?’ Awards, where the 3 Series earned a special mention.
