BMW X in High Demand.

The BMW factory at Spartanburg in South Carolina has been producing BMW X vehicles for 20 years, and the BMW X3, X5 and X6 models made there have been an extraordinary success for BMW worldwide. Demand is still growing exponentially, so BMW recently announced an investment of US$1 billion dollars to increase its production capacity to 450,000 vehicles a year, from the 300,000 that rolled out of the factory in 2013. The workforce will grow too. An extra 800 highly skilled production technicians will join the 8,000 people already employed at the plant.

A large part of the extra production will be two new models – the exciting new BMW X4 Sports Activity Coupe and the magnificent BMW X7, which will be the largest and most luxurious BMW X vehicle ever.

As well as additions to the BMW X range, the expansion of the Spartanburg facility will cement BMW’s position as the largest automobile exporter from the USA! Fully 70% of Spartanburg’s output goes to markets beyond the Americas.

Naturally as a BMW e-nthusiast reader you’ll be among the first to know details of the new and exciting BMW X7.
