It’s official. BMW has been recognised as New Zealand’s most awarded automotive brand in 2014. BMW claimed no less than nine Car Of The Year (COTY) category wins outscoring both mass market brands and premium competitors in the process. The brand new i3, BMW’s vision of sustainable personal mobility, was recognised with one overall COTY title. Other awards were bestowed on the all-new M3/M4 with four category wins, the X5 claimed three, and the 4 Series received one.

Also feeling every bit the winner was Hannah Rogers who won a weekend with the all-new BMW 2 Series Active Tourer at Taste of Auckland. It’s safe to say Hannah quickly became a big fan and found it very hard to hand the car back at the end of her weekend. Hannah was also greatly impressed by BMW’s new Connected Drive technology when she said, “BMW have taken it to the next level with BMW Connected Drive. Whether you wish to book a table in a restaurant or a search for a destination, BMW Call Centre Agents are on hand 24/7. It is all very James Bond, but as a single woman it is nice to know that if I need a hand there is someone to help me out. This car’s got my back big time”. And a final congratualtions goes to the winner of our Heineken Open competition, Anthony Self, who managed to successfully ‘beat the pro’ returning a full speed serve from our tennis pro. His prize? We served up a BMW 2 Series Active Tourer for him to enjoy an entire month. Congratulations Anthony!
