The landmark partnership between BMW and Charge Net NZ is behind the installation of more than 100 Direct Charge (DC) ChargeNow stations from Kaitaia to Invercargill. As a result, New Zealanders will be able to drive around the entire country using purely electric power.
BMW New Zealand Managing Director Florian Renndorfer says this commitment to electric power will help shape the mobility of New Zealanders in the 21st century.
“BMW is a leader in electric vehicle technology worldwide. The BMW i3 is the world’s first purpose-built electric vehicle, imagined, designed and built from the ground up to be purely electric. And our support of Charge Net NZ will give BMW i3 owners the option to break out of their normal urban driving environment and tackle long distances,” Florian says.
Over 20 fast-charging stations are already up and running, with a total of 100 earmarked for completion by the end of 2017. Find out more
